As a someone diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinsons Disease (PD), I look at product
design a little differently than the rest of the world. Almost three
years ago, I was in an airport watching a PDA user fumble with a
stylus. I thought, there must be a better way to manipulate a stylus.
Voila! After
three years in development and consultation with designers, engineers,
and patent attorneys, TrueTip is now available to you!
After an hour
of doodling on the back of an in-flight magazine, I came up with
TrueTip finger stylus. It occurred to me that the first thing we do as children
is finger paint not write. Its only natural to use
your finger, but a finger will dirty a handheld screen. It also
occurred to me that the closer I was to the screen the more accurate
I could be on my handheld device.
TrueTip styli have given me a great benefit, when my hands tremor I gain better
control with TrueTip finger stylus than with my stick stylus. I have also
noticed that TrueTip finger stylus is very helpful when arm movement is
restricted (i.e. a coach airline seat).
